Carcharodus tripolinus

False Mallow Skipper - found in the Algarve in March to October. They have a wingspan of around 30 mm. The Mallow Skipper and False Mallow Skipper are indistinguishable by external appearance and can only be differentiated by the male genitalia dissection or site location. I came across this one in Cabanas de Tavira early October. Because of location I am recording this one as the False Mallow.
