Black Rustic - a long-winged distinctive moth. Flies in one generation from September to October. Included in the food plants are Heather, Blackthorn and Clovers. it has a wingspan of 40-48 mm. The male has white hind wings visible in flight. Night flyer. Photographed in Co. Leitrim flying in mid September.
