Irish status: Widespread and Common

Beautiful Golden Y - This moth has a wingspan of around 35-40 mm. It is quite common and widespread and flies from May to August. It's main food source is Stinging Nettle. Photographed at Greaghnafarna Co. Leitrim in June.
