Lampides boeticus
Long-tailed Blue - This butterfly is extremely rare in the British Isles. Quite common on the continent but unable to survive the cold winters in Britain. I came across a few of these in Quinta do Lago and Cabanas de Tavira in Portugal. The wingspan is 24–32 mm for males and 24–34 mm for females.
