Cirrhia icteritia

Irish status: Scarce

Sallow - The Sallow moth has around a 30 mm wingspan. It flies in Autumn in September and October. This one flew into my Garden late August so one of the early ones! The larvae feed on sallow at first, hence the name. Observed at Greaghnafarna Co. Leitrim late August.
