Gold Swift - a night flyer which flies in June and July. A rather small moth with a wing span of around 30 mm. The male shows more gold and is more distinctive than the female shown here. The male emits a scent that resembles pineapple to attract the female. Both sexes attracted to light. Photographed in Greaghnafarna Co. Leitrim.
