Irish status: Widespread and Common

Double-striped Pug - a widespread moth with a wingspan of 15-19 mm. They can have up to three generations a year. It is a night flying moth that is attracted to light. The foodplants include the flowers of gorse and holly. Photographed in Co. Leitrim Ireland.
