Irish status: Common Locally

Centre-barred Sallow - This moth flies from August to September. It overwinters in egg form. It has a dark rust coloured bar across the forewings hence the name. It is night flying and attracted to light. It has a wingspan of around 35 mm. Observed at Greaghnafarna Co. Leitrim.
