Danaus chrysippus
Plain Tiger - exists in small isolated areas of Spain. A large striking butterfly with a wingspan of 75-90mm. They fly from May to October. Very similar to the Monarch which has similar colouring. I came across an abundance of these butterflies in the El Hondo area of Spain flying in October.
