False Ilex Hairstreak - Not found in Britain, the False Ilex Hairstreak is a butterfly of Portugal, Spain, the extreme south of France and parts of northern Africa. Flies fast and erratically around bushes and trees and frequently congregates on flowers to nectar. Photographed in the Algarve flying in May.
