Irish status: Widespread and Common

Small Phoenix - The wingspan of this moth is around 25 mm. It flies in two generations from May to July and then again from August to September. Quite common in the UK but slightly less so in Scotland and Ireland where these images were taken. Flying in mid July in Co. Leitrim.
